From milestone birthdays and anniversaries to engagements, retirements and family gatherings, Antrobus House in Amesbury, Wiltshire provides an elegant and relaxed setting for memorable adult celebrations. A popular choice throughout the year, our diary fills quickly, so we recommend enquiring early to secure your preferred date.
At the heart of every event is our stylish Edmund Hall, complete with a purpose-built stage deal for live bands or DJs (or both)! The space comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests for a seated celebration or up to 150 for a more informal gathering, with flexible layouts to suit your plans. In warmer months, guests can also enjoy our front lawn and rear terrace.
We’ll take care of the bar and ensure drinks flow throughout your event, while catering is entirely your choice. Bring your own food or collaborate with a caterer, making full use of our fully equipped commercial kitchen.
With ample free on-site parking, including overnight options if needed, organising your celebration is straightforward and stress-free. Antrobus House offers a warm, welcoming backdrop for adults to come together and celebrate life’s special moments.

We host functions and parties on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Our hire charges and what's included are detailed in our brochure, but to give you a rough idea of our fees, we charge £355 + VAT for a Friday/Saturday night adult party, with access from 6pm to midnight, allowing time to set up, party and clear up. 6 hours is our minimum hire period for a Friday/Saturday night booking and extra hours may be added if you'd like earlier access. If you are planning a daytime function, we may be able to reduce the minimum hire period. Please ask and tell us your plans.
Our Duty Manager will be on site throughout the duration of your booking period. We will put all the required tables and chairs out for you before you arrive (as per your chosen layout), and put everything away and clean up after you, once you have left.

We celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday at Antrobus House - it was fabulous. The facilities, standard of decor, and overall appearance was second to none. Catherine was on hand to give advice regarding seating, serving of food and generally any queries we had - a really helpful lovely lady. The room also came fully-equipped for us to have live music - so the party went with a swing! I can fully recommend Antrobus House for any function.
An efficient and very helpful Manager who ensured a very happy occasion for my husband's party. Nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful venue and much enjoyed by our 60 guests. Magnificent new kitchen and loos.
We celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary at Antrobus House. The Edmund Hall was just right and beautifully decorated for us. All the guests enjoyed the gardens and Catherine was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. We would recommend this venue for any occasion in this lovely building.
Antrobus House is a stunning venue, inside and out. I held my 'birthday bottomless brunch' here. In the planning/organising for the day Catherine was always on hand to answer any of our questions - nothing was too much of an ask. It’s a great venue for any type of gathering, whether it's for a wedding, a birthday party or a ladies' brunch morning.
